Greg Olavarria, MD,
Greg Olavarria, MD holds certifications from the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. He received his medical degree from UCLA, then trained at Emory University in Atlanta for Neurosurgery. His love of working with children and their parents led him to Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago where he spent one year as Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellow and Junior Attending. His first appointment was as Assistant Faculty of Neurosurgery at the University of Miami and Miami Children’s Hospital. Dr. Olavarria has written several peer-reviewed articles in Neurosurgical journals and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, as well as the Joint Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery. His special interests include epilepsy, hydrocephalus and third ventriculostomy, craniofacial surgery, pediatric stroke, trauma surgery, and most importantly, trauma prevention programs. |
