Jogi V. Pattisapu, M.D. FAAP, FACS

  Dr. Jogi Pattisapu obtained his medical degree in 1981 from the University of Texas Medical Branch.  In 1986, he completed his residency in Neurosurgery from The University of Mississippi School of Medicine and Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship at The University of Utah School of Medicine.  He was Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery from 1988-1990 at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

Dr. Pattisapu holds certifications from the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery.  In addition to his private practice and research activities, Dr. Pattisapu is actively involved in local community projects such as Safe Kids of Greater Orlando and Boggy Creek Camp.

He has been involved in clinical and scientific research for many years primarily to discover the underlying cause and develop improved treatments for hydrocephalus.  In 2005, he moved the research effort from ORHS Health Research Institute to Burnett College of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Central Florida.  Currently, he is an Associate Professor at UCF and has assembled a research team to aggressively investigate alternative CSF pathways, molecular alterations, and alternative medicines in the hopes of finding a cure for hydrocephalus and/or diminish patient’s symptoms.  In addition, he has helped develop promising new surgical techniques and has authored numerous scientific publications and textbook chapters.  Dr. Pattisapu brings over 25 years of experience in all areas of neurosurgery to Childhood Neurosurgery and Center for Hydrocephalus.
